Position: Procurement Officer
Location: Qatar

Gulf Marine Services is seeking a skilled Procurement Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3-4 years procurement experience preferably in the marine sector, with strong negotiation skills and a good technical understanding of marine spares and related services.

The role involves handling purchase requisitions from multiple departments, verifying specifications, and selecting suitable vendors for RFQs. You will coordinate closely with technical, operations, and warehouse teams to plan purchases and logistics, ensuring timely delivery to avoid downtime. Responsibilities include obtaining and comparing supplier quotes, following up on deliveries and GRNs, maintaining accurate purchase records, and supporting cost reduction and vendor development initiatives.

Key Requirements:
– Graduate in a technical field or equivalent experience.
– Proven procurement and vendor management experience.
– Brief technical knowledge in marine spares and related services.
– Familiarity with CFM or similar ERP systems.
– Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
– Commitment to upholding safety and HSSEQ standards.
